General Description: Unlike the humans here at earth, humans at Lentheas have the ability to use the magic of the Elements, although a human sorcerers are limited by that s/he must use spells in order to accomplish anything with their magic. However, most humans possess telepathic abilities of varying strength, and human telepaths are usually stronger than telepaths among the dwarves and the elves. Generally humans live in cities or villages in the huge forests which stretches over the two largest continents, or at suitable locations along the coastline. However, some do also live at farms or have been accepted into the elven societies at the plains. Like in the middle-ages at Earth, the human society are a patriarchal one and women are expected to be subservient to men, which also means that there are only rarely that a woman will have a higher rank within a guild than any man. However, human women who are sorcerers or telepaths enjoy the same high respect as any male with those talents, this due to the protection they provide to their city or their village.

General Description: although compact of build and rarely becoming taller than 5 feet, the dwarves are still so similar to humans of appearance that it have happened that a dwarf have been mistaken for a low and very muscular human. Dwarves always have dark skin, usually with a slight tinge of blue or green to it, at times a dwarf's skin can also appear somewhat 'oily'. Hair colors like red, black or brown are most common in dwarves, but it isn't unusual to see a dwarf with blonde or even silvery hair(unlike humans, dwarves don`t get grey or white hair as they age).

While ancient stories suggest that the dwarves used to live in the mountains of Lentheas, they are today known for their ships and seafaring skills. No other race can compete with them when it come to the building of strong ships and their knowledge of the oceans, it is also the dwarves who arrange most of the trade and travel between the continents of Lentheas. However, the dwarves are also known for their fighting skills and groups of dwarves are often employed as city guards or bodyguards by centaurs, gryphons and sometimes other races. Some dwarves also become sorcerers, but most dwarves tend to view magic-users as weak, prefering to rely on their physical abilities and wits. Still, that doesn't mean that they don't realize that sorcerers may be useful, and the more successful ship captains will sometimes hire sorcerers to keep the weather favorable when they are out at sea.

General Description:
Rarely taller than the average human, elves are slender of build and move with an elegance and agility that is unmatched by any other humanoid race. Almost always quite good-looking by human standards, the facial features of an elf remind of those of a cat's and elves never have facial hair. In addition to the common hair colors, an elf's may also have more unusual colors such as green or blue. Elves have eyes that are twice as large as a humans and these eyes can be almost luminous. Some trait which is unique to elvenkind is that they are capable of changing the color of their pale skin so they can blend in almost perfectly with any surroundings, and they are also more or less immune to fire. Elven sorcerers are undoubtedly far stronger than their kin among the humans, and they do only rarely need to resort to spells when dealing with magic. To some sorcerers, the use of magic come as natural to them as breathing. Elves can easily become up to 200 years old, although sorcerers will often choose to increase their lifespan through the use of magic.

Special Abilities:
In addition to minor telepathy and empathy, some elves also have the talent to use magic. Unlike the sorcerers of other races, elven sorcerers usually don't need word spells to use magic.

General Description: as a race, the centaurs are almost as young as the humans-- the first of their kind appearing no more than around a million years before the modern human. Preferring southern climates, centaurs generally live at plains and savannas, often close to the large forests that are favored by their allies-- the unicorns. Although female centaurs are smaller and more elegant of build than the males, the centaur society is mainly a matriarchal one. The females are those who lead the herds and are in charge of all trade and contact with dwarves and gryphons, while the males are the protectors and hunters. However, while the human/horse variant of the centaur race is by far the most common and well known, there is another type whose origins can be found in the ancient First War. Changed by magic, the animal part of the second type of 'centaur' is dragon-like(lacking wings)-- these 'taurs also prefer lightly forested areas to the open plains and savannas, their diet also contain more meat than that of other centaurs.

Special Abilities: only a few centaurs have the magical talent to become sorcerers, but an explanation to this is that any talent most centaurs might posses are channeled into their ability to communicate with the rare and highly elusive unicorns.

Size at maturity: 1.7-2.5 meter at the shoulder(human part).
Time to maturity: 15-17 years.
Lifespan: 100-120 years.
Mental Abilities: while no less intelligent than the humans, dwarves and elves, the centaurs doesn't really care for what's considered civilization by the other races. So although some centaur will found small villages in a suitable location, most are nomads of nature-- most of the year they live as hunters and gatherers, buying what food and other things they need from centaur villages or getting it through trade with dwarves and gryphons.

How long between pregnancies: till the child from the previous pregnancy is at least 4 years old.
How long is it pregnant: 12 months.

How many offspring can the creature have at once: never more than two.

General Description: Goblins are the descendants of humans and dwarves who were twisted physically and magically in an incident during the First War. While the body of a goblin is compact and almost lacking a waist, their limbs are long and spider-like equipped with hands and feet that makes them excellent climbers- - whether it's in a tree or rock. Their skin range in color from almost black to a dirty brown-beige, and their eyes are usually various shades of amber and orange. One aspect with the goblins that's considered unnerving by many, is that their facial features are quite beautiful and somewhat child-like, even if the rest of their bodies aren't too attractive, they can easily compete with the most famous elven beauties when it come to their faces.

Despite that the goblins are said to have two rather large cities somewhere on the northernmost continent, wandering groups of various sizes may be encountered almost anywhere at Lentheas-- which usually happen when a particular group is attacking your village or town. Goblins tend to be rather ruthless in combat, and they won't hesitate to resort to torture if there's something that they want, but at the same time-- a group of goblins work well together as a cohesive unit if their leader is strong enough. Disputes among individual goblins and attempt to raise in rank is usually determined through ritual combat-- as the use of weapons is banned, such fights are quite physical, but wits can be as important as muscles in determining the winner. Theirs being a patriarchal society, goblin females usually end up sitting at home and giving birth to the children of the male she's bonded to-- however, if a female is strong and determined enough, she may become a hunter or warrior by defeating the male leader of a group.

Special Abilities: goblins have some telepathy-- enough to make them able to read the surface thoughts of others. From time to time, a goblin with some talent for magic is also born-- these usually being trained by some lesser sorcerer of another race that the goblins have captured and convinced to be the teacher.

Time to maturity: 7-8 years.
Lifespan: 70-80 years.

The Naga have no history about how they came into being. They are very tribal, preferring to live in small family groups which gather into larger units every few months; and they have a tendency to be nomadic, which has made a truly civilized society difficult to maintain.

Similar to centaurs, the Naga is human from the waist up and serpentine from the waist down. They have the ability to move with their torso and part of their serpentine body raised in the air. They are generally the same height as a human; while their legs have been replaced by a tail ranging from 14 to 20 feet in length. The tail is capable of grasping and moving objects, though it cannot be used for fine manipulation. Their torso is covered extremely fine scales that can be mistaken for skin, and the color of these particular scales varies from naga to naga. The torso scales may be a complementing or contrasting pattern to the snake-body scales.

Naga personalities are extremely diverse, being defined generally by their social classes. Nagas enjoy music and rhythm a great deal, stopping to listen to rhythms and very attuned to hearing or 'feeling' them with their snake bodies like a second set of ears.

A Naga can take on just about any class, but they tend to stick to the scholarly side of things. Their warriors tend to be noticeable by their predominantly black cobra resemblance, and the hunters by a diamondback rattler appearance. There are some that possess the ability to become sorcerers as well. Most tend to remain book-dwelling scholars, gathering information about the histories, arts, the cultures, politics, magic, alchemy etc. These make great librarians and teachers. Others become healers, alchemists etc, though they are rarely seen in dwarven, human or elven cities as they are often not taken very well by the humanoid species. Snakes have rarely been seen as good things in any civilization.
Leadership is determined by the majority vote, age, and ability. There is no 'king', as the Naga tend to not congregate together in large groups bigger than 6-12. They are neither patriarchal nor matriarchal, as all are needed to survive. Leaders can be from any class.

Special Abilities: Unlike humans and elves, who possess varying degrees of magical abilities, nagas either have it, or do not. Those who do not have absolutely no hope of ever, even accidentally, being able to use any form of magic.
